1a) BRAVO to whoever decided to tell those in charge of the bayfront convention center's electronic sign that tickets to the "flip flops to formal" event are not available at the "erie civec center". after over a week, it's finally been changed.
1b) another issue i have with that electronic sign (and hopefully there won't be occassion for it to happen again) is that when there are no events going on and the animation of the sun and the earth plays and shows the time and temperature, it just repeats over and over and over and over again. what about putting some filler information in instead of having it repeat?
2) speaking of civic duties, here's wishing mike good luck in securing victory for crawford county assessor. heck, even his opposition, dominick dirienzo (see comments), thinks mike would be a good fit.
3) with the large snowfall we had a week or so ago, i'd like to thank the city of erie's streets department for their great work with getting the roads cleared quickly. they even had my street (a "small" one off a major street) cleared in a very timely manner. HOWEVER, i'd like if next time they didn't tear up half my yard in the process.
4) lastly... does anyone know anything about fixing garage doors? i have a manual door and the wires that help guide the door up and down has suddenly gone bezerk. i haven't looked at it enough to tell if the wire has snapped or if it is just off the spool.
